Have been off blogging for quite a long time. Busy as usual. 4 months into 2008 already. Time really flies and all over the world there have been some ups and downs. Hopefully, the bad situation anywhere will improve soon. May there be blessings and more goodwill to share all around the world.
I am glad to be teaching two classes of Year 6 pupils and a class of Year 5. As the Year 6 classes are examination classes, there's a lot to do on my part to improve the pupils' English. In addition to formal teaching, there's plenty of involvement in helping to make the projects in school a success. That takes plenty of time but I like to do whatever I think I can.
Recently, my personal printer broke down and until now it is still under repairs. Well, even it couldn't stand the work load!
There are still a number of projects in the planning stage. These are the projects involving the Red Crescent Society at the school, zone and district level. Others are educational projects of Puspanita Selama and KRT Pekan Selama. Being a committee member of the Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PDK) a school for handicapped pupils, I need to help the poor pupils there too. It is a joy to be involved with social work but it takes a lot of time.
I am grateful and appreciate the PJK (Pingat Jasa Kebaktian) medal awarded by the Sultan Of Perak. I have to thank the Perak Red Crescent Society for the recommendation and most of all the Sultan of Perak for this honour. To all my friends who have been supportive and cooperative I do appreciate all that they have done to make whatever projects a success.
I'll definately carry on the activities deligently and sincerely.
Well, I have to thank my family members too especially my husband, Chuah for being very patient with me and allowing me to do what I love.
Anyway, I enjoy handling my school's portal which is www.skselama.net and helping to add news to the Larut, Matang & Selama portal, www.ppdlms.edu.my. I hope more people would be interested in these portals and contribute ideas and respond to them to make them more interesting.
Another district and state event is the English Carnival and I hope my district will be more successful this year at the state and national level in the English competitions.
You see, there is no time to waste and relax. I pray that I have the strength and good health to be active. Oh yes, I'm looking forward to our 9 August, Convent Pulau Tikus Year of '75 reunion in Penang, which falls on my 50th birthday too. Wouldn't it be wonderful to meet all my friends again after so many years.
Will be writing again some time later.
