Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone. I pray and hope that 2008 will be a brighter year. I wish it to be a more successful, peaceful year filled with joyful news. I am saddened with the sudden assasination of a great woman leader, Benazir Bhutto.

I hope all the wars, violence and terrorism will come to an end. Nobody wins in the end. Lives and properties are lost. Those who are in power should be working together all over the world and rule fairly and spread love and care whenever they can. There shouldn't be so much hatred boiled up in people.

On top of that, crimes have become more sophisticated. Internet services have been abused and now criminals are targeting teenagers and young ladies into smuggling drugs. I hope the authorities will crack them down and save the ladies who are already in trouble in whatever prisons they are. The syndicate leaders are roaming freely.

Innocent children should be protected against sexual crimes and all parties should work together.

I also notice that many people whatever race they are, still suffer in poverty and experience social problems. A lot of concern and help should reach them. Elected representatives and community leaders should do more in solving these problems. Sad to say, some of them are more concerned about their own selves. Some rich people are getting richer and the unlucky ones still remain like before.

2008, I hope will be a hopeful year for the unfortunates wherever they are.
