Dr Sunitha Krishnan's Talk On Child Trafficking & Abuse.

If you care for children and have children of your own or if not just think of these innocent ones...please watch this video carefully till the end.
Would like to thank my FB friends who shared this video and asked me to share it with others. If you're interested to listen to wonderful speeches, just search TED.com as there are lots more. If you wish to know more about Dr Sunitha Krishnan, this great woman just type her name. We salute her for her struggles in fighting for justice for abused children, her victories in saving them from modern day slavery that is child trafficking. She told the world she was gang-raped and it was this anger that made her what she is today? In our country, we blame the girl who was raped , perhaps the sexy clothing she was wearing etc. Seldom that we focus on the lustful men who did it. Worse still to charge the rapist , there must be 4 witnesses to the act according to a certain religion. That is unbelievable to me. Goodness, it's a wonder if these victims do survive. I have heard of cases that was silenced off because the rapists are sons of rich and powerful men. Another who is a daughter couldn't report her own father as her mother wouldn't want to send him to jail or pay a very heavy sum if found guilty. In Malaysia, rapes are still kept a secret to save the family from shame or being looked down upon.

As a mother and a teacher who loves children, my heart breaks to see the cruel world treating innocent children this way. How can people be so heartless and torture these 4 or 5 year old children, rape them, sell them away for their organs or sex trade. They may be bigger but they still do not deserve to be sex-slaves and act in pornographic films. What has happened to mankind? Has modern science and technology brought much happiness, better life , progress and peace? Or is the world becoming worse with people becoming fearless of anything ?

I received an email a few days ago and the photo of an Indian girl who was killed brutally after being gang raped I guessed is still in my mind. What happened actually I still don't know. She was on her way to sit for her examination when this happened and Malaysia just like other parts of the world do have sickly people. Is this the result of pornography , free access of the internet, drugs, loose morals, lack of strong religious practice and education? Yes, yes , we blame the parents, teachers, government, society , the police etc. Whatever it is, let's pray and hope that we will be able to help to prevent this from happening. We have to do something effectively and give our support to all positive steps taken to curb this crime. There is no time to just stand and stare.

Awareness campaigns and education for children on ways of protecting themselves could be beneficial. Parents must be responsible by educating children, showing them a good example, talking about facts of life, understanding and protecting their children. Everything is well said but actually many parents nowadays just don't spend golden time with their children. This is the heavy price we have to pay for modernization. Some men are actually becoming worse than beasts and from an early age they have not learnt to control their lust and they allow their filthy minds do all the evil acts on the young girls. Child or human trafficking is on the rise and we must all be aware as it may be around us. Please help to stop this crime from happening wherever you are.
