Greetings From USM Penang
Hello Friends,
I have been too busy to update my personal blog.
I've been in the USM Penang Campus since 21 January, 2013.
I am attending the intensive course which will end on 7 February.
This is actually a wonderful experience. Firstly, I got to drive out alone to
Penang for the first time.
Secondly, I'm feeling just like any young university student again.
Well, this intensive course gives us opportunities to read, study and
complete our assignments.
Like the others, I too find it difficult to study when the workload
has increased for us teachers.
The other long distance learning students too face the same problems.
However, we do have to be more serious. Our lecturers told us at least
2 hours a day have to be spent on our studies.
So, I too have to prepare myself for the Final Exam in June.
Well, I am determined to pursue my first degree in Social Science.
This first year, the subjects I am studying are Antropology & Sociology,
Science Politics, Economics, Hubungan Etnik, Tamadun Islam & Tamadun Asia,
Pendidikan Jarak Jauh & Literasi Komputer, Kaedah Penyelidikan, English &
Bahasa Malaysia.
If only I could turn back the clock, I would have acquired my first degree
and now probably pursuing my doctorate instead.
Well, whatever it is , it's the challenges and the struggles that make our life more meaningful and especially when I have a wonderful retirement plan ahead, it will
be more fulfilling.
Thanks to my dearest hubby, children, grand daughter, relatives, colleagues, friends
and all those behind me when I was involved in social work and even in domestic violence cases . All of them have inspired me and given me the encouragement
and here I am now, standing tall and won't be turning back whatever happens.
