It is a great feeling being a mother. Thinking of the difficult days of heavy pregnancy and painful delivery and at last the first look at our baby. I remembered the relief I felt and the joy when I looked at my baby. By the way, I have three lovely daughters.
Being a mother and bringing up children I know is not an easy task. Sometimes we are hurt especially when our children are disobedient and rude to us. Nowadays, children want us to be like friends to them. Sometimes, we get over protective and disallow them to do certain things. However, children need space to grow and to do the things they enjoy. Nowadays, children get rebellious and want to be heard. Some demand for things and out of love we usually give in to them.
Well, what I am saying is it is a challenging job.
My wonderful mother used to be active and had gone through difficult times. When she cried I cried too. She was quite fierce with me and I used to be scared of her but I love her. If she had been healthy, she would not be suffering from a stroke and would be moving about. She had undergone stress, worries and diabetes. I am glad she is still fine and well taken care of by a maid in her Penang house . I love her very much.
A mother's sacrifice is a lot and children must understand that. As a teacher, we are just like a mother to our pupils so I always give my pupils good advice.
