WHETHER HERE OR THERE WE CARE

Well, I feel like writing about the whole scenario I've been observing and my opinions about certain issues.

One day, someone asked me which side I am with. Of course I told him I'm with Barisan Nasional. As a faithful government servant I support the government. As a teacher I do my best to carry out my duties as expected of me and I make sure I impart knowledge to my pupils and instil good moral values in them. Hopefully, they will grow up into useful citizens and are able to contribute to the society and nation. As a responsible rakyat, I do not only carry out official duties but I serve the people by involving in various community work and NGOs. Well, I think
I'm doing beneficial work as I am happy and satisfied.

When I say I support the government, it does not mean I support blindly as there are certain laws and wrong doings that need to be corrected and improved still. We can voice our opinions using the right channels. Thanks to the opposition too as good governance needs to be checked and evaluated to remain stable, clean and strong always. At the end of the day, it is the rakyat and future generation who will stand to gain.

Perhaps, I'm a soft hearted person who dislike any form of violence, misbehavior and harsh language. Therefore, I prefer round table talks, meetings and negotiations rather than street demonstations, protests , over heated 'ceramahs' and vulgar language used in chat boxes in blogs. My, my, it surely turns me off.

Of course, we practise democracy but surely what we do must be under control and we ourselves must choose not to behave too extremely or fanatically. Whatever we do and say, our young ones are watching, listening and imitating us. Some adults even bring their young kids along to the political 'ceramahs' or they bring home the CDs on fiery speeches to be watched together at home. What more, there is easy access to the irresponsible websites through internet.

Whether it is the truth or not, a lot is being published and aired. These sentiments are played and people become over emotional and some are swept off their feet. People are easily influenced if they are not strong mentally. They must think rightly and most importantly be courteous, respectful ,disciplined and law abiding.

I wouldn't want what is happening in Thailand and Indonesia to happen here. Now that the situation in Perak is back to normal though many parties are still unsatisfied, life has to go on.
Let all who are in power make the right decisions and think of the 'rakyat' first and not of themselves or their own 'pockets'.

Before we condemn others we have to look at ourselves first. "Cermin- cermin diri dahulu"my friend used to tell me. The leaders from whichever party they represent have the duties to deliver and serve the rakyat. Let there be not a single elected leader who misuse his or her power and neglect the rakyat regardless of race, political differences or gender.

It saddens me to see many poor and needy people still in Malaysia which is going to be a developed country soon. Somehow or rather, help don't reach them or if it does it isn't enough.
Moreover, domestic violence, sexual abuse, drug addiction and crime rates are on the rise.
Somehow, the roots of the evils can't be controlled and this worries us.

On the brighter side, more achievements, successful stories and acts of good deeds of samaritans need to be highlighted. We must spread words of love, honesty and sincerity as these will touch the hearts of many to follow in their path. For violence cannot be conquered by violence but by love and understanding. What I mean is no one wins in the end if there are wars, bloodshed, ethnic cleansing and political unrests anywhere. My heart bleeds on seeing the mass burial of corpses and innocent people including kids being blown up in a second. What is happening to the human race now?People are becoming heartless and extremely cruel. It's frightening indeed!

What? Even a two- year old toddler got sodomised ! Young girls used as sex slaves!
Oh my God, even robbers demand their female victims perform oral sex on them when they do not have the money! How sickening and it's getting worse day by day. The seriousness of the crimes and the creativity and boldness of the attackers is shocking.

Now, we must really be alert and not trust anyone easily. I will do my best to warn the young ones about the danger and the importance of safety percautions. However, danger is everywhere and we can only pray for safety or peace to protect our loved ones and all.

Whether we are on the side of the government or the opposition, we have important roles to play to conduct our duties well, serve the community and our lovely nation. All leaders must lead well and be fair to all.

This is our country and let us play a part in bringing peace , harmony and prosperity to its people besides helping to conserve energy and its natural beauty.
