It's The Beginning Of 2009 And Man Has Created War Again

Just a few days ago we were busy wishing one another ,"Happy New Year" and "May There Be Peace In The World" but today we see people suffering in pain and sorrow. Many innocent people or Palestinians were killed or injured by the cruel Zionist regime.

The war will never end unless there is an effort to put an end to it. The world has come together to condemn the killings but beware of some who would go to the extreme to take revenge. For every action there is a reaction. Hatred leads to more hatred and it is a vicious cycle. There is a Buddhist saying, " Conquer hatred by love" but how many can do that.

Peace loving people call upon the powerful world leaders to do something to bring peace. Years after years have passed but there is still no settlement, peace and satisfaction. Every problem has to be tackled at the root itself and it can be overcome.

Simple virtues practised by us can help us live in peace and harmony. When I see all eyes being focussed on the killings in the Gaza Peninsular now, I pray hard and hope that my own country, Malaysia will not be like this one day.

Malaysians should continue to live in peace and harmony and treat one another with respect. We should study the roots of all evils as our religions had taught us to do so and we have to avoid committing these wrong doings. However, we always forget when we get emotional, unsensitive and unreasonable at times when facing certain issues.

Let us all be more tolerant and patient with one another. We must never become so egoistic that we think we ourselves are the greatest and the best in whatever aspects that we forget about other's feelings, their rights and their goodness too.

Being more humble, caring, thoughtful and courteous to one another helps in our relationship with one another too. Then only can we live in true peace and harmony.

My heart cries on seeing others suffering , especially innocent women and children due to being abused, neglected and tortured. Isn't there enough suffering on earth? Can't we just stop blaming others and help prevent any more sufferings. It's all in our hands and it is up to us to do the right thing.

I hope those war criminals will be punished harshly, including terrorists who destroy innocent lives .

I hope our own Malaysian leaders will lead our country well, fairly and successfully and our people will live peacefully and harmoniously. The leaders should walk their talk. So much have they said and promised to the public and so everyone is waiting now to see their actions and results. Whatever decisions or laws made in our country , must be practical , logical and effective and accepted by all. There must be no violence and all parties should sit down together to discuss important matters and solve some problems for the sake of the nation and its citizens. Hopefully, the ones in power will not create uneasiness and unnecessary worries for the people.

Let there be peace in the world. May the world be a safer place to live in.
