Just imagine the Class of 75 of Convent Pulau Tikus, Penang is going to meet on 29 June in Penang and in a grand reunion again next year. It has been 32 years.
One morning, I received a surprise call from an old classmate and a few days later another. I'm glad we've e-mails nowadays to get in touch. Luckily, my dear friends didn't miss me out.
I'm excited to meet them. It's nice to hear that they're fine and in many places all over .
These few days I've been busy reading their e-mails and replying them. It's wonderful refreshing old memories too. I think it's a way to keep us young. Keeping in touch with friends.
Actually, I'm spending this school break training teachers who're going to teach Maths in English. A lot of my time is spent on my work. There are two more weeks of intensive training to go. Will be in K.L. for 5 days the beginning of April.
Will be busy preparing the school kids for the English Carnival competitions too. They're participating in the Choral Speaking, Public Speaking and Story-Telling Competitions in April.
Well, I'm also trying my best to add more news in my school's website 'skselama.net'. It's done pretty slowly 'coz I've no proper training in being a webmaster.
Anyway, it's never too old to learn so that's what I'm doing.
To everyone. Take care and enjoy your life!

Hi Lay Wah
ReplyDeleteFrom your blog, I gather that you are part of the CPT Grand Reunion scheduled for next year. I can't quite recall your face, sorry for that but the name rings a faint bell and I have seen your email address on the list of emails flying around.
This is Denise Lee - don't know if you remember me. I certainly am looking forward to the reunion. KL one is being planned for 23rd June.
I note from your blog that you attended MICELT in Pulau Lumut. My office had sent some of our teachers there and my "big" boss was there. I work for CfBT Education Services - you may have heard of them. We supply British teachers to the MoE to help raise the standards of English in government schools. Well, do keep in touch.
